Veezu Donates £1,000 to Fund Bereavement Services for Young People

Veezu, South Yorkshire's leading private hire operator, has donated £1,000 to Rotherham Hospice to support its bereavement services for children and young people.

Rotherham Hospice provides specialist palliative care around the clock to support patients to live life as fully and as well as they can. Its services include a 14-bed inpatient unit, therapy services and support services such as counselling, bereavement support and social work.

The donation, made through the Funded by Veezu community support initiative, will cover the costs for seven children to receive bereavement support, totalling 56 sessions, provided by Sunbeams Children's Bereavement Support.

Sunbeams Children's Bereavement Support service offers age-appropriate support to children after the death of a close friend or family member by providing practical and emotional support. it is the only face-to-face bereavement support service in Rotherham and the wider area.

This donation is one of many in Veezu's latest round of community support for local causes in the Rotherham area.
